Discover Yoga's Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Benefits

People are most familiar with Yoga as a type of physical exercise, but really Yoga is an holistic, multi-dimensional, self-powering approach to understanding and working with our minds and bodies to improve Quality of Life. Quality of Life is very subjective and dependent on many variables, such as physical well-being, mental and emotional stability, social harmony, environmental factors, occupational satisfaction, etc. These factors can vary dramatically from person to person and across time. So...ancient Yoga sages developed many tools to aid us in this journey. The focus of Clay Pot Yoga is on the application of Yoga philosophy and practice in a very individualized manner versus a one-size-fits-all approach.

The word “Yoga” means “union” and refers to the spiritual union between the mind and the body. By linking breath with movement, Yoga creates harmony within the body and strengthens the mind-body connection. Regular participants report less anxiety, a more centered mind, and an enhanced sense of well being. Health benefits from Yoga can include lowered blood pressure, increased strength and flexibility, and improved stress management.

All skill levels are welcome at Clay Pot Yoga. If you are new to Yoga, this is a great place to begin your practice in Sheridan. We have mats and other props available for use and we recommend wearing athletic clothing that allows you to move comfortably. We respect individual needs by moving gently toward balancing the physical practice of asanas with breath work, mantra, and meditation. Whether you are new to Yoga or have made it a part of your lifestyle for many years, we invite you to join us at Clay Pot Yoga and open to the healing possibilities of your practice.
